Gavel Knock effectively translates the classic role-playing game into a mobile format, allowing players to engage in nostalgic gameplay while avoiding the discomfort often associated with traditional tabletop experiences.

This adaptation of the game, known as Hakem Jalad (Governor and Executioner) in the Middle East and Raja Mantri Chor Sipahi in India, enables online play with friends or competition against an AI opponent. The incorporation of voice chat enhances player interaction, creating a more immersive experience.

While the gameplay is straightforward and accessible, luck plays a significant role in determining outcomes. Players are encouraged to assess their own fortune as they navigate the game.

Gameplay Overview:
<ol>
 <li>Each game begins with players randomly selecting one of four character roles from a set of paper pieces.</li>
 <ul>
 <li>King (Governor)</li>
 <li>Executioner</li>
 <li>Detective</li>
 <li>Thief</li>
 </ul>
 <li>The player assigned the Detective role must identify the Thief among the other players.</li>
 <li>If the Detective successfully identifies the Thief, points are awarded; otherwise, the Thief receives points.</li>
</ol>

This blend of chance and strategy encourages players to use voice chat to mislead the Detective, adding an engaging layer of social interaction. Scoring varies according to character roles, enhancing competitive dynamics.

Players have the option to engage with random opponents or create private rooms for a more personalized experience with friends. The player accumulating the most points after a series of rounds is declared the winner. It poses a fun challenge—are you ready to uphold justice?

This easy-to-learn game promotes cognitive development through deductive reasoning and serves as a social platform for meeting new friends and engaging in conversation.
